The story of the ghost mother
The ghost mother is the wife of Pāṇājaka, the old ghost king.
She had ten thousand sons, all of whom were strong and powerful. The youngest son was named Binjialuo. He was smart and lively, and the devil's mother loved him the most.
This ghost mother is cruel and has a bad temper. Her favorite food is children, so she often catches children in the human world and eats them alive.
People from all over the world couldn't bear the pain and asked the Buddha for help.
When the Buddha heard about this situation, he captured Pinjiala and held him under the begging bowl.
The ghost mother was very anxious when she found out that her beloved little son was missing. She searched everywhere for seven days. During these seven days , the wife who was haunted by ghosts was the one who refused to eat, drink or sleep. She cried and cried all day long and ran around like crazy, but she didn't even find the shadow of the child. Later, I heard someone say: "Buddha is the smartest in the world, omniscient and omniscient." So he came to the place where the Buddha lived and asked the Buddha where his youngest son was.
The Buddha said to the extremely anxious ghost mother: "You have ten thousand sons, and only one is lost. You are so sad and sad, looking for your wife with the sound of ghosts and ghosts everywhere. Some people in the world have two or three sons, and some have two or three sons." I only have an only son, but you ate me.
If you think about how others feel, is it ten times more painful than yours? "
The ghost mother said ashamedly: "I was wrong! As long as God allows me to find Binjialuo this time, I will never eat other people's children again."
The Buddha grabbed the alms bowl and returned Pinjiala to the devil's mother.
After this incident, the ghost mother really changed her ways and never harmed children again.
As a result, people live and work in peace and contentment.
