The story of the king
In ancient times, there was a king named Dingsheng. He was a very powerful king at that time, and all the parties in the southeast, northwest and northwest submitted to him. King Jingsheng possesses seven rare treasures in the world – a flying golden wheel; a white elephant; a green horse; a bright moon pearl; a wife as beautiful as a fairy; talented civil servants and military generals; in addition, he has a thousand sons, each He is smart and knowledgeable, wise and brave, and handsome in appearance. The king was always proud of this.
One day, King Dingsheng thought to himself: "My land spans 320,000 miles. The grains are plentiful and the people are prosperous. All my wealth is rare in the world. Even so, I still hope that God will bless me." I will make a rain of gold and silver money that lasts for seven days and seven nights; if you can give me such a gift, it would be the best."
Sure enough, the Heavenly Emperor Shi made him get his wish, and it rained money and coins. The whole country was filled with golden and silver light , and the land was shining brightly.
King Dingsheng was smiling broadly, and the people were running around to celebrate, feeling great satisfaction and joy.
A few days later, King Jingsheng thought again: "Although I am in the land of the west, with a land stretching 320,000 miles, and the glory of the seven treasures, and a thousand sons who are good at literature and martial arts, the Emperor Shi has given me There has never been a rain of gold and silver in the world, but I heard that there is a place in the south called Jambudvipa, which stretches 280,000 miles across. The people there are short of food and clothing. Wouldn't it be great if I could get that piece of land? "After thinking about it, King Dingsheng drove the flying golden wheel and flew to the south. He was followed by the Seven Treasures and the army, and came to Jambudvipa like lightning. The princes, ministers and people there had long heard of King Dingsheng, and when he came, they all surrendered to him. King Dingsheng spent several years managing this place to make it prosperous, and the people lived and worked in peace and contentment, with ample food and clothing.
King Jingsheng thought again: "Now I have land in the west and south. I heard that there is a place in the east called 'Fu Yu Da', which is 360,000 miles away. The kings and people there are well clothed and well fed, and they have everything they need." , is a rich place. It would be great if I could get this land!" So he drove the golden wheel and flew to the east, and Qibao and the army followed him closely to fly to Fuyu. The king and people there welcomed him. King Dingsheng ruled there for several years, and the country was peaceful.
King Dingsheng thought again: "I now own a large area of land in the east, west and south. I heard that there is a place in the north called 'Yudan'. I should take it over too." This was the only thought in his head As soon as he turned, the golden wheel took him flying to the north . Qibao and the four armies also followed him to Yudan. As soon as I flew into the border of Yudan, I saw the land was green and full of rice; I also saw all kinds of precious trees, all kinds of gorgeous, soft and comfortable clothes, precious armlets and rings, and all kinds of precious treasures, all hanging on the On the branches of the treasure tree.
King Dingsheng and his entourage lived happily, eating fragrant rice, wearing gorgeous clothes and various expensive decorations.
After some years, King Jingsheng thought again: "I gained the three worlds in the past, and now I have Yudan in the north. Everything in the world belongs to me, and there is nothing worth pursuing anymore. Where should I go?" You should ascend to heaven and go to the paradise world!”
When he thought about it, the golden wheel immediately carried him to heaven, and the seven treasures and the army followed him to heaven.
When Emperor Shi saw King Dingsheng, he happily walked down the steps to welcome him, and said: "I have heard about your name for a long time, and I have wanted to meet you for a long time." As he said this, he took King Dingsheng's hand and gave him half of it. throne.
After King Jingsheng sat down, he looked around carefully and saw that the palace of Emperor Shi was made of gold, silver, crystal, glass, coral, amber, pearls and other precious treasures. It was much better than all his palaces put together. Times, I am really envious. He thought: "I already have land in all directions and countless gold and silver treasures. This honor is already rare. If the Emperor Shi can die and I can inherit his throne, this will be the most satisfying thing for me. What a joy!”
With this evil thought throughout his life, he was immediately sent back to his home on earth by the Emperor of Heaven. Then he became seriously ill and the best doctors could not do anything.
The ministers came to visit him and asked: "Your Majesty, your illness is very dangerous.
If something unexpected happens, what will you have in mind? "
King Jingsheng understood clearly, so he replied: "If anyone asks in the future: 'How did King Jingsheng die?' You can just say that you died because of an incurable disease called 'greed'. With me, I want to teach my descendants a lesson – 'Greed is a fire that burns the body', so don't be greedy!"
