To make it clear that Fengdu was falsely rumored to be a ghost town, the earliest historical origin may have to start from the first generation of ghost emperors of the Bashu Diqiang tribe, Tubo, who lived in the “ghost country and secluded capital”.
According to some historians, the Bashu Diqiang tribe lived in the Tianshui area in southern Gansu. Due to the 10th century BC to the 9th century BC, there was a major change in the climate of our country. The climate in the early Western Zhou Dynasty was relatively warm. The Bashu Cultural Park was a ghost , but it soon deteriorated. The “Bamboo Book Chronicle” records that in the time of King Xiao of Zhou, the Han River, a tributary of the Yangtze River, froze twice in 903 BC and in 897 BC, respectively. After the freezing, there was a severe drought. This means that there was a cold period in the tenth century BC, which lasted about one to two centuries, and the climate did not warm up until the Spring and Autumn Period. Because of this cold period, the Di people, who originally lived in Longnan, moved south on a large scale at the junction of today’s Gansu, Shaanxi and Sichuan. One of them went down through the Han River and formed an alliance with the Ba tribe. Today, there is Fancheng in Xiangyang, Hubei, which should be one of the Fan surnames of the Di people who migrated south. The other group descended through the Jialing River and moved to northern Sichuan. The “Bandun Man” in the northeastern Sichuan region included tribes from the Di-Qiang clan.
The Diqiang tribe moved southwards, eastwards to today’s Hubei and western Hunan; southwards to western Sichuan to northeastern Yunnan.
The Ba people’s activity center was mainly active in the Han River Basin from the Shang Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period, and then moved westward to Sichuan due to the invasion of Chu. After entering Sichuan, the country of Ba was established. When it was strong, southeastern Sichuan and western Hunan were its southern borders. The Cuban Shu Di Qiang tribe, also known as the two tribes of the ghost tribe, in the long-term exchanges, because of their belief in ghosts and witches, a primitive religious god with a common belief – Tubo, is known as the first generation of the Bashu tribe. Ghost Emperor Bashu Cultural Park Ghost Cheng , this ghost emperor lives in Youdu. The Eastern Han Dynasty Gao Yu annotated Huainanzi. “The Falling Shape Chapter” states: “The ancient secluded capital was located north of Yanmen.” It is difficult to tell whether a secluded capital or a secluded capital is located in the north of Yanmen. In ancient times, secluded capitals were located in Youzhou. It is in the area of Yanmen Pass in Shanxi; however, the Bashu Low Qiang Ghosts cannot be located in the north, so some people think that this “north of Yanmen” is in present-day Sichuan. Fengdu used to be the Bashu Biedu in ancient times, and later it was called the “You Capital” of the “Ghost Country”. This “ghost country and secluded capital” probably means “the capital of the ghost tribe”.
Ghosts believe in witches. There must be witchcraft; the ghosts have primitive religions, and they must establish a god. This god is the first generation of ghost emperors, and Tubo was passed down as the first god in the ancient Fengdu land.
Some people may think this is nonsense, but later Zhang Daoling founded the “Five Dou Rice Dao” in Sichuan, also known as “Ghost Dao”, and Zhang Tianshi also absorbed the witchcraft of the Low Qiang tribe as his spell to exorcise ghosts and cure diseases; One of the You Zhi, during which there is an internal connection with the first generation of Bashu ghost emperors who are said to live in ancient Feng.
