Before I became a monk, I encountered a strange thing:
Miss Madara, a 21-year-old commoner, rents my house downstairs. Every morning and evening after class, I turn on the tape recorder and chant the Buddha's name. She said: "Uncle Wang, the more I listen to it, the better it sounds. It feels so good.
I said: You must have good virtuous roots. You listen to it every day and I play it every day. She sometimes comes up to listen. I gave her a copy of "Recitation of Buddha's Recitation" with a Buddha image on the cover. Apart from eating and doing things, she just reads "Induction Record" and chants Buddha's name.
One day, she said to me: "Why are your Buddhist books so powerful?
I asked: "Why do you say that?
She said: Her younger brother is 20 years old, has a girlfriend, and is possessed by a female ghost. After Ms. Madara got back the "Record of Recitation of Buddha's Recitation", her brother's girlfriend did not dare to enter her room because the possessed female ghost saw the light shining from the book and could not enter the room and refused to let her in, and asked Madara to The lady wrapped up the book. Miss Madara wrapped it in red paper and she dared to enter.
(Comment: Because there is a Buddha image printed on the cover of the book, the Buddha image naturally emits light there, and it is not possible for ordinary people to consecrate the Buddha. Ghosts with good roots can be saved when they see the light of the Buddha, and either be reborn in a good path or be reborn in the Pure Land; ghosts without good roots can be saved. , when you see the light emitted from a Buddha statue, you will feel scared and dare not approach it. Therefore, if you worship Buddha at home, whether it is a bronze statue, a wooden statue, or a paper statue, it can dispel ghosts and make your home peaceful. If your family has a Buddhist temple, the family will be auspicious! This principle.)
After Miss Madara recited the Buddha's name, the female ghost said that Miss Madara also had light on her body, but it was very weak. She also said that the light on my body was very strong, and the female ghost ran away when she saw me and was afraid.
(Comments: As long as people recite the Buddha's name in their hearts, they will have the light of the Buddha on their body; the longer the time, the more pious the heart becomes, the greater the light will be. If reciting the Buddha's name often becomes a habit, no matter where this person goes, day or night, there will be light on his body. There is Buddha light. Because Amitabha Buddha is immeasurable light, we naturally have Buddha light on our bodies when we recite the Buddha's name. A simple analogy is like a piece of clothing that is dyed with incense and naturally has a fragrance. The longer and more thoroughly it is inhaled, the stronger the fragrance will be. Just follow the clothes. People who recite the Buddha's name have Buddha's light in their bodies, and ghosts stay away and dare not approach.)
There is communication between Xiaoban's girlfriend and the possessed female ghost. At first, she was very scared and didn't know what to do. As time went by, the female ghost began to talk about her life experience and said, "You don't have to be afraid, I'm not." It’s bad, I’m a victim too.”
It turns out that this female ghost was a wealthy lady in Chongqing. Her parents only had one daughter. She was beautiful and smart. They hoped that she would find a well-matched family in the future. But she had a boyfriend when she was eighteen, and her family conditions were very poor. Her parents tried to dissuade her, but she refused to listen, and this lasted for three years. She often stayed out at night, and her parents were very angry. They thought that when she was a child, she was like the apple of her eye, but when she grew up, she became like this! It's fine without her, but more troublesome with her. Under the pressure of her parents, her daughter turned against her and simply refused to go home.
(Comment: Husband and wife, father and daughter, and all kinds of interpersonal relationships in the world are just fate. If you see this clearly, you will feel calm. Even if they are father and son, they have their own lives and cannot succeed each other. Parents love their children, but they must Love should be done properly. Children have their own karma and destiny. On the premise of respecting their children's karma and destiny, they should be guided by experience and advised with love. Do not treat your children as your own private property, disrespect their independent existence, or force them to speak. : "You are my son, I love you, so you must listen to me." The result often leads to tragedy, turning love into hatred, turning against relatives into hatred, leaving behind shame and hatred in this life, and creating bad karma in the next life, so why bother? Ah! Therefore, as a human being, you must know that everything is destined, and you must not force it. You must also learn to recite the Buddha's name in order to be reborn and escape from reincarnation forever. Master Shandao said: "There are millions of parents, wives, and children, but it is not Bodhi that increases the predestined relationship. If you get entangled in the evil realm, your avatar will receive retribution without knowing it." You should be very vigilant!)
Once, the daughter returned home under the persuasion of her boyfriend and wanted to ease the relationship with her parents. As a result, there was another dispute, and the father got angry and choked her neck with his hand. During the fierce fight, she broke free, saw the motorcycle driving on the street, and hurriedly jumped on it. The motorcycle rider saw someone behind him in the reflector, but when he turned around he saw no one. After a while, he saw someone in the reflector again, but when he turned around he saw no one. This happened several times, which frightened him. He really saw a ghost in broad daylight! Speed up quickly. As soon as I got home, I threw the car there and ran back to the house immediately. The girl was also thrown down. When she got up and patted her body, she realized that she was dead.
(Comment: This girl was highly concentrated during the fierce fight, focusing on how to break free until she was stuck; but once she died, her spiritual consciousness was not bound by the body, that is, it followed the thoughts of her mind before death. Due to strong inertia, she suddenly broke free, but at this time she did not know that she was dead. This is the so-called "people die but the gods are immortal", there is no such thing as "death is dead, one death is a hundred.")
Miss Ban's brother and his girlfriend traveled from Guiyang to Chongqing. The female ghost thought his girlfriend was suitable, so she immediately attached herself to him. When she got there, she couldn't even breathe smoothly. The female ghost told her: "I was killed." The two of them had no intention of traveling anymore and hurried back, so the female ghost came too.
As for why he only possessed this girl from Guiyang, according to the female ghost, she has a strong yin energy and can be attached to her, but others cannot.
(Comment: People’s physiques are different. People with heavy yin energy can be possessed by ghosts; people with strong yang energy cannot be possessed by ghosts. But regardless of yin deficiency or yang excess, as long as you recite the Buddha’s name, you will have the light of the Buddha and receive the Buddha’s light. For protection, all ghosts will not be able to attach themselves to them. Either stay away from fear, or join your hands in respect, so it is very important to develop the habit of chanting Buddha's name. Especially for the elderly and infirm, those who are chronically ill, and those who are about to die. People whose blessings have been exhausted and misfortune comes, and whose Yang Qi is dissipated, are often prone to seeing ghosts, being possessed by ghosts, being teased by ghosts, and being pulled by ghosts; fatigue from the journey, feeling guilty in a foreign place, being temporarily frightened, and being depressed for a long time are all easy to be affected by ghosts. Ghosts take advantage of the opportunity. At this time, it is even more important to recite the Buddha's name. Ghosts all have their own minds. If someone thinks that he is bold, strong, and not afraid of ghosts, he will often be punished by stronger ghosts. No matter who, no matter when, where (If you want to get rid of ghosts, avoid disasters, and achieve peace and auspiciousness, it’s best to recite Buddha’s name.)
The female ghost rests on the girl during the day. From 4pm to 4am, she goes to dance clubs and bars to drink and smoke. There are more than ten male ghosts there. One day, the female ghost said, "I'm going to bring a dozen of my companions. They were all killed because of jealousy in the dance hall. They go around everywhere. You don't have to be afraid. You just need to buy cigarettes for them to smoke." Then she lit up a dozen cigarettes. , put it on the ashtray, as if someone is smoking it, and it will flicker and disappear like a female ghost who is having sex with you . After the burning, these male ghosts left.
(Comment: Sutra says: Ghosts lurk during the day and travel at night. From dusk to dawn, ghosts travel in groups. Therefore, when walking at night, you should recite the Buddha's name even more, and recite it while walking. The ghosts will see the light of the Buddha from a distance and avoid it automatically. Decent people don't go to dance halls, bars, casinos and other places of sensual entertainment. Unscrupulous ghosts like to gather there. Seeing an opportunity to take advantage, they will manipulate people's hearts and cause disasters. Therefore, these places are where humans and ghosts interact. Disasters continue. Just like the sewer where the sun cannot reach, bacteria and impurities breed. People of good character must not set foot in such places to avoid being infected by evil people and haunted by evil ghosts.)
The female ghost often told some things to the girl, and the girl relayed them to others, but everyone who listened said she was mentally ill and no one believed her. Miss Ban told me this, and I believed it, so I reasoned with her and asked Miss Ban to tell her so that they could recite the Buddha's name together. At first, Miss Madara, her brother, and his girlfriend thought that the female ghost couldn't bear it, her whole body ached, and she wanted to run away. I told them to ask the female ghost to recite it too. The female ghost felt very comfortable chanting Buddha's name together. I advised the four of them (including the female ghost) to seek refuge in the Pure Land and seek liberation, but the female ghost refused and wanted revenge.
(Comment: It can be seen that this female ghost has too little good roots and too deep hatred. Woohoo! They were originally father and daughter, but now they are grudges. What does it mean to live a false life? I advise the world to underestimate worldly feelings, value Buddhism, and live together in the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. , will always be the retinue of Bodhi.)
The day before I left, Miss Ban, her brother and his girlfriend came to worship Buddha. I also advised the female ghost not to take revenge. They told me that only the three of them could get in, and the female ghost was outside. After the three people went out, the female ghost possessed her and said that she could only stay outside on the road just now and could not go in. She cried sadly. When I asked her why, she said it was so painful. When you all went in, two great Bodhisattvas stood at the door and refused to let her in. They yelled at her, "Is this where you came from?"
(Comment: The place where people who recite Buddha's name live is protected by the Dharma Protector, and monsters and ghosts are not allowed to enter.)
When I left, I told a lotus friend to take them to Longquan Temple to seek refuge for the four of them, and to advise them to recite Amitabha often. I don’t know what happened next.
Note: This incident fully illustrates: 1. There is indeed an existence after death. 2. Wherever a Buddha statue is placed, it will naturally have light. Although people cannot see it, ghosts can. 3. People who recite the Buddha's name have light in their bodies. The longer they recite the Buddha's name and the more pious they are, the greater the light will be and the ghosts will be far away. 4. People who recite the Buddha's name are often supported by good gods, and ghosts do not dare to approach.
