Because his surname was Guo, we all called him Uncle Guo. Uncle Guo said: If you hear a baby crying loudly in the middle of the night, there must be a ghost coming out. I have personally experienced such strange things.
Uncle Guo was a businessman when he was young and ran business outside all year round. One day when Uncle Guo passed by a village, the sun had set and it was getting late. There was no way to rush to a big town to stay , so he found a family to live in that village. This family is a young couple with a half-year-old son. The couple warmly entertained Uncle Guo. After dinner, Uncle Guo chatted with them for a while and then went to rest. While sleeping at night, he was suddenly awakened by the sound of a baby crying. He knew it was the young couple's son who was making trouble at night, and wanted to see what happened. When he opened the door and came to the yard, he saw a woman in white with her hair down, dancing in circles in the yard. When she saw him, she told him a ghost story and gave him a cold smile… …, he was so frightened that his legs were weak and he couldn't run. He almost squatted on the ground. Then he quickly closed his eyes, not daring to look at the woman in white again. After a while, he opened his eyes again, only to find that the woman in white had suddenly disappeared, and at the same time he could no longer hear the baby's cry. He knew that the yard must be unclean, so he was so frightened that he ran back to the house.

Even though he was mentally prepared, Uncle Guo was still startled by the harsh sound of opening the door. Maybe he ran too fast and didn't lock the door. He regretted it a little.
It was midsummer, and the heat outside was unbearable, but inside the house was hazy and air-conditioned. At this time, the woman in white blew a sinister wind and rushed toward him. He was so frightened that goosebumps immediately broke out all over his body. He once heard old people say that ghosts are generally afraid of candlelight. As long as candles are lit in the house, ghosts will not dare to enter the house. He quickly took out a lighter from his pocket, lit the candle, and looked inside the room. It was bright and there was nothing there. He knew that the woman in white must have been scared away by the candlelight, so he locked the door and got into bed, not daring to sleep, for fear that the candle would be blown out by the wind and the woman in white would jump in again. After dawn, he asked the young couple about their son crying in the middle of the night. The couple actually didn't know that their son had cried in the night. Only then did he understand that the cry of the baby at night must be caused by ghosts, and he did not dare to stay here longer, so he hurriedly said goodbye to the couple.
After this incident, when Uncle Guo heard a baby crying at night, he always lit a candle in the room, and he never encountered those unclean things again.
