Ghost Fight 2: The Lost Tomb Chapter 19: The Big Porcelain Jar

Corpse wax usually comes from corpses that are immersed in water or buried in moist soil with plenty of water. The so-called wax is the condensed form of fat and minerals in the body.

I followed the footprint and found that it extended to the corner of the room, behind a large blue and white porcelain jar with a dragon pattern. My heart skipped a beat.

People say that it is easy to send off the King of Hell but hard to deal with little ghosts. Could it be that there is an underage Zongzi here? I said to the fat man, "Look, these footprints are only from the past but not from the present. Could it be that…"

I had only said half of my words when the fat man waved his hand and told me not to talk. I turned around and saw that it was a large porcelain jar that suddenly shook by itself.

The fat man whispered, "That thing is still hiding in the back."

Zhang Tu had taken off half of his equipment, but he didn't take off the belt around his waist. Now he simply didn't take it off. He came over with the oxygen tank and asked the fat man, "What is that?"

The fat man was most annoyed by him and cursed, "Zongzi!"

He was stunned: "Zongzi? Jiaxing Wufangzhai Zongzi?"

The fat man shook his head and ignored him. I asked him, "Can you be sure that I have never seen such a small zongzi?"

The fat man said, "I can't be sure, but no matter whether it is zongzi or not, we still have to go and take a look. Otherwise it will be a disaster, and we will not feel comfortable if we lose the fight." As he said that, he raised the air gun in his hand and waved at me. I thought to myself, I won't go, and shook my head.

The fat man sighed and had to call Zhang Tu over. As it was his first time to enter a fighting arena, Zhang Tu was extremely excited and immediately followed the fat man's example and walked over. The two of them surrounded the large blue and white porcelain jar and walked towards it.

Although I was scared, I couldn't act too cowardly in front of a woman, so I pretended to be scared, followed behind Baldy Zhang, and looked in carefully.

We walked very slowly, fearing that something might suddenly jump out. The fat man first shone a flashlight on the jar, but the jar was too big to see anything. He then poked it with an air gun, which was very similar to the way I used to catch weasels when I was a kid. I couldn't help but find it funny. He poked it five or six times, and when it seemed that there was nothing behind it, he mustered up the courage to walk over. When he saw it, he sighed and cursed, "Damn it, there's only an empty wooden box. I was so nervous."

We followed it, and I saw a baby coffin with double phoenix carvings that was only the size of a violin case. The coffin lid had been opened and placed aside, and the white coffin bottom inside was still well preserved, but the body was gone. No wonder the fat man thought it was just a box. I said, "This is not a box, it's a coffin."

The fat man didn't believe it at first, but he understood it immediately and asked, "You mean, this is the coffin of the little Zongzi?"

I nodded and took a closer look. I found that there were several holes in the coffin. There was a black mark extending from the hole to the ground. It seemed that some liquid had flowed out of the hole. This scene seemed to have been mentioned in my grandfather's notes.

The fat man used a flashlight to carefully look inside and out, and sighed regretfully: "Looking at the specifications of this coffin, I know that this child must have a lot of good things on him. It's a pity that I don't know where the body has gone. Otherwise, if I press it a few times, maybe I can squeeze out a few beads."

I nodded. There are always a lot of things in the coffins of children who died young or were buried with the dead, and most of them were carried on the body. Especially in the stomachs of children buried with the dead, there are often preservative beads, which are priceless things.

A few of us looked everywhere to see where the body had gone, but after searching everywhere, we couldn't find even a trace of it. It looked like tomb robbers might have stolen it along with the rest of the body.

The fat man was unwilling to give up and wanted to turn over the coffin. I thought it was inappropriate, so I held him back and said, "This coffin is different from other coffins. It is definitely not just for the dead. It's better not to touch it."

The fat man laughed and said, "The body is gone, why should I be afraid of a bear? Are you afraid that this coffin will jump up and bite me?"

Aning said: "Our purpose in coming here is not to take out the funeral objects, but to quickly get to the main tomb chamber. Don't waste time, and make a quick decision."

Fatty knew he was in the wrong, but there was nothing he could do. We went back to pack up the diving equipment first. Fatty put on his backpack and suddenly looked at me. He moved his mouth, as if he wanted to say something but was a little embarrassed to say it. I sighed and cursed, "If you have something to say, just say it. What's the matter?"

The fat man said, "Do you think that little Zongzi will crawl into the big porcelain jar next to it?"

I looked at the big porcelain jar and something occurred to me: this is really possible.

The fat man blushed a little and said, "I just heard a sound coming from the direction of the jar, and it seemed to come from inside the jar. I thought the zongzi was not a mouse, so how could it get into the jar by itself? I thought I heard it wrong, and I was just mentioning it casually. I didn't mean any other thing."

I knew he was still thinking about the treasures on the corpse, so I wanted to mock him. At this moment, the big porcelain jar suddenly fell to the ground with a clatter. I was stunned, thinking that he might be right.

All four of them were silent, staring at the jar nervously. The jar first turned a few circles on the spot, and then actually rolled towards us with a "gurgling" sound.
