Ghost Cutting Wall Tears: Tangtang's Unfading Shadow Read Online

Ronald always felt that there were eyes watching him at home.

When he got home from work, he bent over to change his slippers and heard a voice in his heart saying "Welcome home". He looked up and saw the empty living room. There were snacks scattered on the table that had not been eaten yet. They were left by his girlfriend Tangtang. When Tangtang was around, he could always hear her sweet "Welcome home" when he got home from work, so Ronald thought he was just having an illusion, an illusion of nostalgia.

Ronald was cooking instant noodles, and a voice in his heart said, "It's time to cut some luncheon meat." He cut it, and the voice said, "It's time to cook an egg in it." He really broke an egg in it. When the instant noodles were almost cooked, the voice took a deep breath and said, "It smells so good!"

It’s sugar again.

It must be because it's too quiet, Ronald thought. He turned on the TV to watch the game and ate his instant noodles with relish, but he felt someone was staring at him, just like Tangtang stared at him before. Whenever Ronald watched a game, Tangtang, who was always noisy, would become very quiet and look at him with resentment. Then he would give up the game and watch Korean dramas instead.

Ronald was a little angry. Why did Tangtang's shadow linger? They had broken up for a week. He gave Tangtang an afternoon to pack her luggage and leave, and he went to the street to hang out. When he came back, Tangtang had really left. She didn't argue with him at all, and just left obediently. It was totally out of character. This made him feel a little guilty. He thought that it must be an illusion caused by guilt, and the illusion triggered nostalgia, so he shouldn't feel guilty.

So he watched the game with peace of mind, but the burning gazes coming from behind him made him feel a little uneasy. He stood up anxiously, looked around the room, and finally found something unusual.

The abnormality came from the wall behind the sofa. Among the graffiti on the wall, there was a pair of small eyes, and under the eyes there was a teardrop mole, like candy.

So here's the weird thing!

Ronald's ex-girlfriend Tangtang is a designer and a good painter, so she often takes a brush and paints to doodle on the wall at home. Her doodles are funny and cute. Ronald used to like them very much, but now? Not now. If you love her, everything about her is good. If you don't love her, she is worthless.

In short, Ronald felt that the pair of eyes was too realistic and creepy, which made him uneasy, so he took some leftover paint at home and painted them over in a few strokes, and felt at peace with himself.

However, the feeling of being watched still remained, whether he was eating, sleeping, watching TV, talking on the phone, going to the bathroom, or partying with friends, there were still invisible eyes secretly watching him, watching his every move, and in his heart, there was a soft voice. That voice was very much like Tangtang.

This house is uninhabitable! Ronald felt that if he continued like this, he would go crazy, so he decided to sell the house. His house was in a prime location, so there was no shortage of buyers. When he showed the buyers around, he could feel the resentment in their eyes, and a voice in his heart was crying quietly, "You don't want me anymore."

"Get out of here!" Ronald cursed in his heart.

"The graffiti on the wall is nice, I like it very much," said the buyer.

Ronald smiled apologetically: "As long as you like it, why don't we sign the contract today?"

The buyer nodded, came to the sofa, and suddenly leaned forward to look at the wall: "Hey, there's a piece of paint falling off here." He used his hand to pick up the paint, and the paint swayed and fell off, revealing the graffiti behind it. It was the pair of eyes painted by Ronald, now seeing the light of day again: "What beautiful eyes, why painted them?"

Ronald's mouth twitched a little: "My ex-girlfriend."

"Oh, sorry." The buyer apologized: "I want this house. Shall we sign the contract?"

Ronald wanted more than anything. The two of them signed each other's names on the contract and the deal was finalized. Ronald heard the crying in his heart like a downpour. Feeling irritable, he inadvertently glanced at the eyes on the wall. Those eyes actually began to shed tears, and the tears wet the wall, making it filled with mist.

Damn it!

Ronald threw the key to the buyer like throwing away a hot potato. He packed his luggage overnight and couldn't wait to move out the next day. The moment he closed the door, he heard the voice in his heart say, "Ronald, I am Tangtang."

He fled in panic and never returned.

Ronald didn't know that after he left, the eyes graffitied on the wall began to shed endless tears. The tears formed a large outline on the wall. That outline looked very much like a girl he knew. Her name was Tangtang.
